"This is a Boston Model L pencil sharpener which was manufactured under licence in England by the pen manufacturer Joseph Gillott & Sons. My brother rescued it about thirty years ago from a skip that contained old used rubbish from an office refurbishment in Dublin city centre. It still works perfectly, even if the original firms of Boston and Joseph Gillott & Sons have long since gone the way of history.
