Gold Bangle, Celtic 'C' Ornamentation; Hopkins & Hopkins, Dublin

"27 July 1910, Domhnall ÓBaoighill (Daniel Boyle), Crolly, Co. Donegal, married Kathleen (Caitlín) Lacey, Duleek, Co. Meath. This gold bangle was Domhnall's gift to his new bride and has since been handed down to me, her granddaughter. Family lore tells that Douglas Hyde had a similar piece of jewelry made for his wife - I don't know if this is fact or fantasy."
