Great-Uncle Willie’s Postcards from World War 1

"Corporal William Albert Neale who died at war on 21 March 1918 was my great-uncle and I am proud to have these 3 embroidered postcards he wrote home to his mother and sister in Crettyard dated 1916 & 1917. On the back of ‘Ever Thine’ is written ‘1917 France Feb 22nd with best wishes & ever fondest love From, Your ever devoted son, Willie’. I also have 2 of his key rings, his army badge with ‘Ypres’ on it and his Army Cyclist corps badge that were posted back to his sister (my grandmother) after his death. He is remembered on the Pozieres memorial in Picardy, France & also on the First World War memorial in Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow."
