Portable Gramophone

"This HMV portable gramophone was used by my uncle, Jack Fitzgerald when Principal of Castletownbare Vocational School for dances, in the 1930's. It was so loud, when his sister used it later in her apartment, she had to stuff it with scarfs so as not to annoy her neigbours. I used it ten years ago for a John McCormack evening. Alas all the 78's are gone!"
