My Father's History

"One of these photographs was taken in 1921 or 1922, by the Irish Times, of My father, Denis Keogh, who took the Anti-Treaty side during the Civil War. The other is a wedding photograph of Denis and Mary (May; nee Troy) Keogh. The third is an Abbey Theatre programme of two plays entitled “The Road to Kilbawn” (3 acts) and “The Awakening” (1 act) performend in the Abbey Theatre in June 1920. The original plays were written by Denis. These items were passed down to me through the family. The Irish Times newspaper in 1979 did not have the technology to print photographs in the colour."
