WWI Baby Ration Card

"This First World War ration card (sugar registration card) was issued to my great-grandmother, Catherine Maher, on behalf of herself and her newborn daughter, my Nana, Margaret Maher following her birth on the 18th of November 1918; exactly a week after Armistice Day. If the contents of this card had been altered to ensure a larger amount of sugar could be taken, a fine of £100 or six months imprisonment would be enforced. This ration card is one hundred years old in November of this year - as my Nana would have been also!"
