Irish Shipping

"As an island nation we had to form a national shipping company during The Emergency. In the following years the company grew and placed order for new vessels. It also launched a programme for schools called Follow the Fleet to encourage students interest in geography and trade. It's first female deck cadet joined in 1977 the year I started my engineering cadetship with them. In 1984 it became the first semi state company to be liquidated by the government "
