Belleek China Plate

"Original Belleek Pottery Plate with the 5 symbols of Ireland, raised detail. The plate has been passed down to Miss Elizabeth (Betty) C Murphy by her family due other interest in Wolfhounds. Betty is Patron of the Irish Wolfhound Club of Ireland and former President and author of Wolfhound books. She also runs www.irishwolfhoundarchives.ie where you can see the plate and a letter from Belleek dating the plate. Belleek also use a similar image as their trademark. John Creedon interviewed Betty about 30 years ago about Wolfhounds and recently borrowed some Wolfhounds for part of his documentary on the Shannon. Betty's grandfather was financial adviser to Michael Collins and Arthur Griffith during the treaty talks and later first chairman of the ESB.
