CLIPPERS

"This clippers was the way that all or most children would get their hair cut in the 60s and 70s. My father, was a soldier in the "Emergency" and had his hair cut for free when in the army. This clippers was used every three weeks or so on us boys. When it made an appearance, we would scatter in all directions, but eventually we would have to come home and get the dreaded haircut. He would clean and oil the dreaded machine after every session and have it in pristine condition for the next time. My son came home with a similar haircut recently, I asked how much it cost and was told €14. We had it at his age for nothing with this clippers and a bowl from the kitchen press!!!!"
