"So many of us as children had a PO Savings book, money from special occasions dutifully lodged over the counter, stamped, how important we felt and let's not forget the thrill of the allowed odd withdrawal....stamped....shillings and pennies.....dwindling until reaching an age...too cool to save...closed.."
