Marriage Settlement Documents
"This belonged to my Great Grandfather. It was in a drawer in my home where he had lived. In 1883 my Great Grandfather married into the house, and moved 5 miles. The document has been there all that time, throughout the generations. He bought the farm, the house and the stock for 400 pound, which he paid his father-in-law on the day of the marriage. My Great Grandfather would provide for his Parents-in-Law for as long as they lived. "
