The Changing Value of Money.
"This Roches Stores Receipt showing the cost of furnishings for my newlywed parents first home, in 1928, seems incredibly cheap compared to day's prices. Both were musicians at the time, playing for the silent pictures showing in the old Coliseum Cinema, McCurtain Street Cork. My mother 18, a pianist, father 28, struggled to make ends meet while saving for a permanent home. Makes me think how some things change and others stay the same as round and we go. "
