The Emergency Service Medal
"After WW2, many in Ireland were presented with medals for their service between 1939-1946. There were 11 different types of medals and the front of these were the same but the back noted which organisation was referred to. These were owned by my maternal grandmother from Co.Clare. One is inscribed with "Ranna Cead-Cabhrac Cumann Croise Deirge na h-Eireann" for the First Aid Division and the other, "An Caomnoiri Aitiula" for the Local Security Force. "
