Barry McGuigan Birthday Card

"I was a massive Barry McGuigan fan and because he came from just up the road (I'm from Ballybay) he was my hero and idol. I never got to meet him in person or see him fight but I was a member of the Barry McGuigan fanclub. As part of being in the fanclub, he sent me a birthday card for my 12th birthday in 1986. To me, Barry is still the best boxer that Ireland has ever produced. "
