Granny's Cookbook

"My Gran (Margaret Lane nee Stack) worked as a cook in Courtland U.S.A. When she married my Grandfather she returned to Ireland in 1910 and brought her treasured recipes with her. She was an exceptional cook. She and my Grandfather set up a shopkeeping business in Brosna, Co Kerry, where they reared their family. Her daughter Noreen was my mother and I am the proud keeper of her recipe book. It also contains some recipes added by my mother between 1950 and 1980. There are recipe cuttings from the newspapers of the 1930s also in the book. Many of the recipes that were used by my Grandmother have become popular today."
