Shop scales

"My Mam had a shop in the front room of our house in 16 Middle Mountjoy St. The scales was on the counter beside the drawer that was the till. The scales weighed sweets, cheese, potatoes and all produce that was sold loose. The scales also weighed the ingredients for the Christmas cake and puddings. Brush Shields was one of the many customers in my mams shop. She is still alive and well at 98 years,"
