"This is a cutting from an National newspaper (possibly the Irish Independent ) for an examination to be held for various Civil Service posts. There is an X on the left hand side for a position my father was interested in, he would have been 15 at the time & I note the age limit was 16 & half to 18 & half on the 1st August 1940 so maybe he didn't apply ! "
