Crucifix of .303 Rifle Bullets
"This crucifix was made by an unknown Republican prisoner while incarcerated in Cork Gaol during the Civil War in 1922. The crucifix was given by the ex-prisoner to my father's cousin in the 1920s in recognition of her role in Cumann na mBan during the War of Independence. All these artefacts (as well as many other objects and specimens) are now on view in my antiquarian bookshop; Gadaí Dubh Books, in Ballymakeera village, Macroom, Co. Cork. Gadaí Dubh Books is on Facebook."
