Old Books
"My house was built by Lord Concurry, it’s over 100 years old. I found these books in the house. The oldest ones are probably connected to the Abbey of Saint Thomas, which is full of history. At a later stage, it’s the place where Robert Emmett was hung, drawn and quarted outside St. Catherine’s Church on Thomas St. on the grounds of the Abbey. It was originally built in the 12th century, so they could go back very far. It was built in reparation by King Henry. Another is a prayer book in English. A copy of Dante’s Divine Comedy. A copy of Pride & Prejudice (Part II) with colour illustrations. The Teaching of Twelve Apostles – 1884 “A hundred chapters from the Bible” – 1879 “The British Empire in the 19th Century” – 1879 "
