"This book was given to our Mother and Father by Dan Breen. There's a photograph in the front cover of our Mother with him. Date given: 11 May 1954 He became TD for South Tipp, he used to come to the village of Clogheen to visit the Parish Priest, himself an old Republican. There was a guy who lived across the road from us, who had been on the Tipp football team at Bloody Sunday (1921), Tom O' Connor. Dan Breen used to come and visit him, but our Mother and Father lived over the road. Our Mother was English, but he was still friends with her and our Father and gave them a copy of his book. "
