Ceramic Marmalade Jar

"It's a white ceramic jar that was excavated during earthworks by my local JCB driver. He kept it along with other artefacts that he dug up during his excavations. He was my valued neighbour. When he was dying from cancer, he asked me to choose something from his little museum to remember him by. I chose this jar because it was something that I could keep in the kitchen to hold pens in. Every time that I need to write something down, I remember Tom with great fondness. It has inscriptions on it “fruitfield Varsity Marmalade”."
