Old Irish Lace and Communion bag
"The collars of lace have been in our family since the time of my grandmother. They were worn on elegant dresses. The bag was used by my grandmother, my own mother and myself at our confirmations in Borris-in- Ossory, Co. Laois. The delicate needle work created by skilled patient women is something to be admired greatly. In the early Nineteenth century, Ireland there was abundant lace created by Irish women. Mary Conliffe"
