Cast Iron Kettle

"It has been in the family as far back as I can remember. I’d say it’s a 100 years old. I supposed every family has one of these, so it was probably just bought in a shop. I think part of it was broken, and I have a vague memory of my father fixing the knob. No.3 6 pints. It was used since my grandparent’s time. In more recent years I remember it being on the range after the open fire, bubbling and the steam, knowing the tea was coming. Might have been made by Swain, as inscribed on the kettle. "
