Linen

"My Grandmother came from Glenfarne, County Leitrim to work for Fergusons - the Linen producers in Banbridge - to work in service at their Big House. Her brother Terence fought in Easter Rising 1916 and died at the battle of the Somme 1916. My Father also worked in the Linen Industry, he was a Tenter by trade and fixed the looms. He received his trade with Richardsons Mill in a Quaker village in Bessbrook. He also worked for Robinsons and Cleavers in their factory in Banbridge. These items are of significance to all the people associated with Linen Industry In Ireland!"
