Carroll’s Emerald Gem Cigarettes advert
"We got this from my Grandfather’s pub in Ballybay, Co Monaghan - McCabe’s. My Grandfather died as a young man and my Grandmother moved to Dublin. When we went to her funeral in Ballybay, we found this in the basement of the old pub. We contacted Carroll’s tobacco and they got the oldest person in the company to research this but they did not know about it. We found a mention of it on the internet about how a gentlemen in the 1900-1910 would smoke Emerald Gem Cigarettes. It was in the basement for 50 years so those colours are truly set. My Grandfather had the pub for about 20 years and they left there around the 1950s. The men are playing soccer. "
