Bog Oak Carved Long Handled Pot

"This small beautifully carved piece of bog oak was made by either Edward Colton Senior or Junior. Both are recorded on the 1901 and 1911 census as bog oak carvers in Mercer Street. it contains a harp and shamrock symbol known as the family mark. Edward Colton Jnr. served in the first World War and was known for his craft in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers."
