Cine projector
"During the late 1960s my father bought a cine camera, and this projector. The family would be assembled a couple of times a year to watch the reels of family events such as weddings and christenings, projected onto a bedsheet hung on the sitting room wall. As a special treat, if we children had been well behaved, my father would run the last reel in reverse, which we thought was hilarious. The cine film and processing must have been expensive, since there are only 17 reels of film, taken over a 15 year period. Each reel is only around 3 minutes long, but the loading and rewinding of each reel took longer than that."
