Kelloggs Corn Flakes Pop Up Cards
"The year was 1994 and Kellogg's Cornflakes was definitely the nations favourite. The reason - the set of 20 pop up cards they produced for the World Cup in the USA. I remember breakfast vividly in my house in the months leading up to the finals. The routine was the same to be first up to open the new Kellogg's Cornflakes box which Mam had purchased the day before on her weekly shop to Quinnsworth Lisduggan. The trick was to open the box from the end as we soon copped on that the production line workers in Kellogg's in more cases than not inserted the cards at the bottom of the inner plastic packaging. SMART!! I'd say I lived on Cornflakes morning noon and night during that unforgettable period. This was at a time when kids got simple innocent kicks out of this kind of activity and were not solely gratified by a computer screen or games console like the kids of today. Breakfast time was so much fun back in those days!!"
