"It was a leaflet to spread information about the BCG vaccination and the dangers of tuberculosis. I am the little girl pictured there and it was my uncle Dr. John Cowell who was the medical director of the whole program. It would have been the very start of the BCG campaign. TB would have been pretty rampant up to that time. Conor O' Brien might have been the health minister behind it at the time. It was live vaccine so my uncle used to drive into Dublin airport to collect it off the plane from Sweden every Sunday night and he'd bring it to St. Ultan's where the program was based to get it refridgerated.
