Discretion the better part of valour?
"This 'Lady razor' belonged to one of my three grand aunts, one of whom was a model, and travelled to Paris, Milan and New York. They all travelled together, and returned from their final visit to New York on the White Star line back in 1902. They retained the ship's menu, and it now resides in the Cobh Titanic museum. Lady razors were just beginning to achieve popularity, as women were revealing more flesh, and removal of unsightly hair became the order of the day. The razor, in it's own storage tin, in obviously very tiny (see Biro for comparison), and could be stowed discretely either in a bag or about the person.'' Vanity, like the poor, will always be with us!'' "
