Autographs of National and Cork Political Personalities

"The family home of Nora Turner, my grandaunt, was Turner's Hotel in Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork. This hotel was frequented by many notable political figures during and after the war of Independence. Nora collected autographs from many of these - including de Velera, Harry Boland, Arthur Griffith, Michael Collins (as Gaeilge) and many others. I have inherited 2 books of these autograpsh via my mother, Noras niece. Jenny, Nora's sister, was the wife of JJ Walsh of Bandon, first minister of P&T, and an active industrialist. A number of the autographs have a personal mantra added, like Jim Larkin "Principles before Personalities". "
