"The badge of a Marshal during the Visit to Cork of Papal Nuncio Most Rev. Dr. Robinson 15th July 1930. This Visit of Pascal Robinson, the first Papal Nuncio accredited to The Irish Free State, occurred on a Tuesday and on the following day Dr. Robinson was elected to be conferred with the Freedom of Cork City. The Papal Nuncio had been appointed to Ireland in 1929 and in January 1930 had a three-day celebration in Dublin, later in that month he was conferred with the Freedom of Kilkenny City. "
