Book Safe
"This was a savings box and preceded the plastic boxes of the 1970s and later. It was very well made and was burglar proof especially to a 10 year old (note the teeth on the coin slot). This was from The National Bank but all banks had a version. Ideally you filled your box and brought it to the bank where it was opened and the money lodged to your savings account. Inevitably I got bored with this preferring to spend my pocket money. The box carries the signs of a frontal attack and unauthorized withdrawal."
