National Registration Identity Card

"National Identity Card for Ms. Sara Mary Murphy, nee O’Boyle, my aunt. These identity cards were issued to everyone during the Second World War by the National Registration Office. This one for my aunt was issued on the 27th September 1944. The identity cards had to be presented to any member of the police or a member of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces in uniform on duty. "
