"The Dial wall mahogany clock made by Schreiber brother's 1840 at 23 Westmorland street, Dublin took its place of honour in our kitchen in the country of Borris-in-Ossory. The ticking chimes greeted me on arrival from Dublin as a young girl in the seventies. I loved the constant sound in the background as I exchanged news with my mother Kitty sitting in her favorite chair beside her Cleopatra cooker ordering me to turn on the nine o'clock news and then look at the clock on the wall and say 'Its time for bed'.
