Tennis Ball Stool

"This is a limited edition tennis ball stool which I designed. It was exhibited at designer Block London in 2004 as part of the London Design Week. It was produced with the last tennis balls manufactured in Ireland by two companies Penn and Treetorn, the last tennis ball manufacturer in Europe. All parts including the felt were made in Ireland. This stool highlights the unlikely story of Irish Tennis Ball manufacturing as well as exploring the design possibilities of this unusual material in is an example of the fun to be had in bluring the line between art and furniture."
