Tram Ticket
"This ticket was issued by the infamous Dublin United Tramways Company (1896) Ltd. I do not know what date, but the fact that the reverse has an advertisement reads "USE ELECTRICITY FOR EVERY HOUSEHOLD TASK- VISIT ELECTRICITY SALES SHOWROOM 25, ST. STEPHEN'S GREEN" might help to date the ticket. The ticket was printed by Auto Tickets Ltd, Birkenhead. The fare of one penny allowed the passenger to travel six stages from the city. I suspect that the passenger came from O'Connell street to Rathmines where my aunts owned a house. "
