Results of River Shannon Regattas

"In the 1920's yachting regattas were held at various locations on the River Shannon. Mr. Henry Reus 'Tulip' Newland M.A. T.C.D. was appointed as record keeper, as he maintained records in Dublin Bay Sailing Club, and was deemed to be efficient. Newland used a school exercise book, and an old fashioned ink dip-pen, to record the race results. it is clear from the contents of the copy book, that he found the job boring, as he doodled a lot.
