

Cathal Brugha and Caitlin Kingston's Papal Marriage Blessing, February 8th 1912
"Cathal Brugha and Caitlin Kingston were married on February 8th 1912. During the subsequent ten years, Cathal became a significant figure in Irish history. He undertook important leadership roles in the 1916 Rising, the War of Independence and the establishment of the first Dail. During those same ten years, Cathal and Caitlin had six children. Cathal Brugha died on July 7th 1922 in the Civil War. Cathal Brugha and Caitlin Kingston’s children *Nollaig Brugha (1912 –1993) *Noinín Brugha (1913–2003) *Brenda Brugha (1916 –2001) *Ruairi Brugha (1917–2006) *Fidelma Brugha (1919–2002) *Nessa Brugha (1922-2014) Caitlin reared the young children with the assistance of her sister Maire (Addio) and she herself died on 1st 1959.
