Telecommunications

"The P&T emblem of the state owned telecommunication company up to 1979. Also the standard issued black coat with silver buttons. The company had a name change in 1979 when it was separated from the post office and became a stand alone phone co. As Bord Telecom Éireann the company was state-owned until 1999, when it was floated on the Irish and New York Stock Exchanges. In 1999 it was rebranded to Eircom. In 2015 it was rebranded Eir/Open Eir. Picture shows myself and Kieran Mallen (Black Coat) repairing broken lines in the snow storm 1977/78."
