Party Dress

"This is one of 3 party dresses owned by my aunt May Hynes. who resided at Church View, Banagher, Co. Offaly. She was an active member of Cumann na mBan during the War of Independence.She was almost shot by the Black & Tans during a raid on our house in 1921. She married Thomas Mulleady in the late 1920's. They were one of the first people who owned a car in Banagher. I'm submitting a photo of them with their Model T Ford, along with 2 of the dresses."
