Woollen Blankets

"These 6 Woollen Blankets belonged to my Mum, who passed away in 2016. They are in pristine condition - She always referred to them as 'Foxford Blankets'. Label on blanket in photo says 'All Pure New Wool Blanket - Derrynane, Made In Ireland''. I think she would have received them as wedding presents and was always very proud of them - she married in 1962. Every house would have had woollen blankets untill the invention of 'the duvet' - I remember them as feeling heavy and scratchy!"
