Hand knitted Aran Cardigan
"An aran cardigan made for me by my mother for my 21st birthday in 1985. This has become a treasured piece in my family a is now an heirloom with my daughter now wearing it as a chic fashion item and getting numerous requests of where she bought it. As with all Irish mothers born in the early 1900's knitting, crocheting, mending and fixing was a way of life. My mother Eilish was proficient in all these areas and always provided for her 11 children. Her speciality was crocheting over 40 christening robes for her grandchildren with numerous socks, hats, gloves and much more."
