Medal & Logbook from the National Emergency Service in WWII
"This is my grandfather's medal & logbook from the National Emergency Service in WWII. He was born in 1914 and served in the Irish Army from 1935-1946. During this time he was a Private in the Irish Defence Forces which he left in 1939. A day later he joined the reserve Army where he became a Corporal. He was discharged for his determination of emergency service (may have minded German soidiers in Curragh Camp). He died in 1977. "
