Bank of Ireland money box

"I opened a deposit account at their branch in New Ross with 5 shillings when I was 10 years old. It was a Christmas present. The bank issued me with a Deposit Account book and also with the money box to encourage me to save. I also still have the deposit book with the amount hand written on the first page. I never managed to make any further deposits, and when I requested that the account be closed and the 5 shillings plus interest to be repaid, the Bank refused to make any repayment because the amount was less than £1.
