Passion Play Oberamnergau

"In 1963 for my 12 birthday my parents gave me a view finder with reels. Three of the reels were of the Passion Play in Oberammergau. My mother told me that in the middle ages there was a plague in Europe which killed many people. The village of Oberammergau prayed that if they were saved they would do something special. The village was saved so every 10 years the people of Oberammergau put on the Passion Play. I went to see the play in 1970. And planned to bring my mother in 1980. Sadly she died in 1974. In 2000 I could not afford to go maybe 2020 will see me in Oberammergau. While there in 1970 we stayed with local people in their home. It was the first time I saw a continental quilt.
