John Redmond Commorative Jug

"Commemorates John Redmond (1868-1918) an MP who advocated Home Rule for Ireland and re-establish a parliament in Dublin. He was leader of the moderate Irish Parliamentary Party (IPP) from 1900 to 1918 when he died. He was leader of the Irish National Volunteers (INV). He encouraged National Volunteers to join Irish regiments of the British Army during the First World War and support the effort to restore the "freedom of small nations" in the hope of securing Home Rule for Ireland after the war.
