"This trophy was found in the Librarians “Safe” in the Four Courts during their destruction by fire in June 1922 and was subsequently recovered from the ruins. The trophy was won by my great-grandfather, John Henry Pigot K.C. He was born in 1863 and died in 1928. Our family has connections with the founding of the National Gallery of Ireland. "
