A furniture shop in Dublin where you could buy very good quality furniture and pay for them by the week.My Nanny Sarah and all her daughters got their furniture there and they highlight of our week as kids was going into the shop to pay the weekly payment and if you were lucky an ice cream in Woolworths after. Sloans Shop Parliament Street. Sloans sold blankets & bed linen and you could pay for these by the week. Everything was a very good quality and my Nanny had the blankets for years. You went into the shop picked your bedclothes brought them home and a man from Sloans called every week to the house to collect your payment. The payments books shown are my Nanny Sarah books she used both books from 1950 - 1970s."
