Irish Primary Cert

"My mother kept her Primary Certificate from 1959. It details all the subjects taught and examined in sixth class, in Irish on one side and English on the other, which as you can see were very different for boys and girls. Girls had more subjects to study and they were geared towards homemaking. She said the boys at her school spent more time playing football than studying."
